      Morocco, officially the Kingdom of Morocco is a country located in the northwestern part of Africa and the Maghreb. Its capital is Rabat. This country is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to the west, by Spain, the Strait of Gibraltar and the Mediterranean Sea to the north, Algeria to the east, and de facto south by Mauritania.

        Morocco has a policy regime a constitutional monarchy whose current ruler is Mohammed VI. Morocco is a member of several organizations, including the Arab Maghreb Union, the Francophonie, and the Organization of the Islamic Conference. Morocco is the only African country that is not part of the African Union, but seeks to consolidate its relations with the European Union. In 1987, Morocco has tried unsuccessfully to join the EEC, and was awarded in 2008 an "advanced status" with the EU allowing it to benefit from all the functions of a member country unless the institutions participation.

         May 15, 2009, he joined the North-South Centre of the Council of Europe.
